August 2015: Laughing all the Way to Tehran

A majority of Americans believe that Iran cannot be trusted to abide by a nuclear agreement. There is very good reason for this as Iran has a long history of breaking its international commitments, is the world’s foremost sponsor of terrorism, and has consistently lied about the scope and intent of its nuclear program.

July 2015: ICEJ Marks 10 Years of Partnership with Yad Vashem

"After 2000 years of hatred, which was the most tragic during the Holocaust, and is documented at Yad Vashem, we are building the future together by sharing a common vision. This gives us hope for the future," said Shaya Ben-Yehuda. "I would like to thank you for the years of partnership, first with Rev. Malcolm Hedding, now with Dr. Jürgen Bühler. On a personal level, this partnership has given me deep encouragement to look at the world in a more optimistic way."

June 2015: Inside the Druze Community

The Druze often are mistaken for an offshoot of Islam, but they have much older beliefs. They adhere to close-knit communal life but also integrate well into their adopted homelands, including in Israel. In fact, the Druze boast the highest rate of induction into the military of any sector of Israeli society, even exceeding the Jewish rate, and they serve in all branches of the IDF.

May 2015: Seventy Years Since the Holocaust

Looking around us, it is clear that anti-Semitism is rising again at an alarming rate and at the same time, as Christians we see our brethren persecuted in many places, most notably in the Middle East. While all of this is going on, many of us may feel that it is simply overwhelming. It is easier to be silent than to confront these issues. The problem is that silence is a choice. One of the clear universal lessons of the Holocaust is that silence will always help the perpetrator but never the victim of persecution. If this is true, then by being silent we are choosing to help the perpetrator. Clearly, that is not what we should be doing.

February 2015 - Jihad Stalking French Jews!

There is without question an increasing sense of darkness spreading over many nations. People are afraid and “men’s hearts are failing them from fear and the expectation of those things which are coming…” (Luke 21:26). Yet at the same time, the prophet sees the light of God rising over His people like the morning dawn. God is still at work as His kingdom grows even in the midst of great adversity. And He calls us to "arise and shine".

January 2015 - Hope in the Land of Giants

When we look at this situation we feel much like Joshua did as he undoubtedly thought about the giants in the land God had told him to enter. The people of Israel need their friends to stand up and be counted. Now is not the time to shrink back in fear but to realize that we, like Israel, need to be obedient, strong, and courageous...

December 2014: Is Israel Facing a Third Intifada?

Over recent weeks, we have seen a new wave of rioting and violence erupting here in Israel. Most of the rioters are young Arabs who have been fed a militant nationalist and Islamic agenda from their youth. It is ironic that the nation which has invested much in building hospitals, universities, and other infrastructure for the benefit of the local Arab population is under constant attack from these very same quarters. Palestinian youths today are among the most educated Arabs in the Middle East...
