Massive Fires in South Resulting from Kite Jihad
Firefighters continued to battle several large blazes in southern Israel Wednesday morning amidst an onslaught of incendiary kites sent into Israel from the Hamas-ruled Gaza Strip. Video of a massive fire near the campus of Sapir College in the Sha’ar Hanegev Regional Council was widely shared on social media, while other fires burned in or near communities including Kissufim, Nirim, Miflasim, Ein Hashlosha and Nir Am. The KKL-JNF announced plans on Tuesday to sue Hamas for damages.

“It is inconceivable that the international community would allow Hamas not to be held accountable and pay for its criminal acts; not only against the citizens of the state of Israel, but also against nature and the environment which have been severely hurt by this criminal environmental terrorism,” said KKL-JNF world chairman Daniel Atar. “Hamas has proved that they have no humanity – not just toward human beings, but also toward animals and natural resources. We are going on a planting campaign with the children from the towns surrounding Gaza: Hamas burns forests – we plant them. We will prove that our lives here are founded on strength and growth.”

“Our brave firefighters can extinguish the fires, but only the IDF can eliminate those who lit them,” said Public Security Minister Gilad Erdan during a tour of the Kissufim area. “I expect the IDF to carry out targeted assassinations of terrorist kite launchers that endanger people’s lives on a daily basis. They need to know that they will pay for it.”

In related news, the IDF announced on Tuesday that a preliminary investigation into the death of Gazan nurse Razan Ashraf al-Najjar during last week’s riots along the border showed that “during the incident a small number of bullets were fired, and no direct shooting was directed at her.” The IDF statement added that further investigative work will be conducted in the case.

Israel to Complain to FIFA Over Cancelled Argentinian Friendly
The Israel Football Association announced on Wednesday that they will seek action against their Argentinian counterparts at the FIFA due to the cancellation of the friendly match between their two national teams that had been scheduled to take place on Saturday. "The Association views with severity the physical and brutal threats that crossed every red line made by Palestinian Football Association chair Jibril Rajoub," the IFA said. "The chair will send a letter today to FIFA President Gianni Infantino demanding punishment for those who want to harm soccer players and those who torpedoed a friendly match between the two teams."

Israel Blesses the World
Israel was among the first countries to dispatch rescue teams and humanitarian relief supplies to Guatemala this week following the massive eruption of the Fuego volcano. Initial reports indicate dozens have been killed with many more injured and missing as entire villages have been buried by the fast moving lava flows and ash clouds from the volcano. Elsewhere, a team of seventh-grade students from the central Israeli town of Be’er Tuvia recently won a national technological entrepreneurship competition for a fire-resistant suit they developed which will allow firefighters to remain in areas of intense heat and flame for 20 minutes longer than currently used suits.

Here is a video about yet another way Israel is blessing the world
