ICEJ USA: Susan Michael, Pastor Allen Jackson, Rev. Malcolm Hedding

Susan Michael

For more than thirty-five years, Susan has pioneered the development of the International Christian Embassy Jerusalem in the United States and around the world. She currently serves as the ministry’s USA Director and is a member of the ICEJ’s international Board of Directors.

Susan's involvement with the ICEJ began as a graduate student at Jerusalem University College in 1980, the same year that the Christian Embassy was first established. Upon completing her Masters degree in Judeo-Christian Studies she returned from Israel with a heart to further the Embassy’s mission among fellow Americans. After a season assisting the ministry’s international leadership to host a series of high profile pro-Israel conferences across the USA, she was asked to head-up the ICEJ’s US Branch.

In addition to a Master’s Degree in Judeo-Christian Studies she has a Bachelor’s Degree in Theology from Oral Roberts University, and was awarded an Honorary Doctorate of Laws by Piedmont International University in 2018. Susan is often called upon to address complex and sensitive issues such as anti-Semitism, Islam, Jewish-Christian relations and current events in the Middle East to a diverse range of audiences. Her experience working with Arabs, Jews and Christians from many national and denominational backgrounds has equipped her to handle delicate topics central to an understanding of Israel with extraordinary clarity and grace.

In recent years she has pioneered a number of educational tools to enable other Christians to do the same, including the IsraelAnswers.com website and a series of highly accessible educational seminars. Susan has built the US Branch of the ICEJ into a scripturally-sound, balanced, and reputable ministry, evidenced in its leadership of one of the strongest networks of Evangelical leaders in America – the American Christian Leaders for Israel (ACLI).

Susan and her husband lived and worked for many years in Washington D.C. where she developed a close working relationship with the Israeli Embassy and strong connections with the US Jewish community at large. They currently reside in South Florida.

Pastor Allen Jackson

Allen Jackson has worked with the congregation of World Outreach Church in Murfreesboro, Tennessee since 1981, and has served as senior pastor since 1988. Pastor Jackson earned a Bachelor of Arts from Oral Roberts University, a Master of Arts in Religious Studies from Vanderbilt University and studied at Hebrew University in Jerusalem.

Pastor Jackson spearheaded the development of a variety of World Outreach Church community events, providing opportunities for families to experience God and become part of a local church. The results have been a stronger community, strengthened families and a healthier church.

Rev. Malcolm Hedding

Malcolm Hedding has a profound ability to teach and impart truth concerning God’s heart for the nation and people of Israel. He is an astute theologian and one of today’s most articulate speakers on the scriptural basis for Christian support of Israel and the Jewish people worldwide.

Malcolm is a credentialed minister with the Assemblies of God of Southern Africa, and holds a Bachelor’s degree in theology, as well as two special theological diplomas. He was involved in church planting for more than 25 years before moving to Jerusalem to head the ministry of the ICEJ. Throughout his pastoral career, he has boldly proclaimed God’s love toward and covenant with the land and people of Israel and was a vocal opponent of South Africa’s apartheid regime.

Between 1986 and 1989, Malcolm served the Lord in Jerusalem and was an integral part of the pastoral team of the Jerusalem Christian Assembly, now known as the “King of Kings Assembly.” During the same time, he functioned as the Chaplain for the ICEJ’s international headquarters in Jerusalem.

Upon his return to South Africa in 1989, he planted the Olive Tree Assembly of God in Durban but continued to be involved with the ICEJ as a speaker at the annual Christian celebration of the Feast of Tabernacles in Jerusalem - an event which annually draws upwards of 7,000 pilgrims from more than 100 nations for a week of teaching and worship in the heart of the Israeli capital.

In 2000, the Board of Directors of the International Christian Embassy Jerusalem unanimously chose Malcolm Hedding to serve as the ICEJ Executive Director in Jerusalem. For over a decade, his clarity of vision and strong leadership ability were an enormous blessing to this worldwide ministry. Malcolm travelled extensively, preaching and teaching in churches across the globe, and gaining a unique perspective on the body of Christ throughout the earth.

In July, 2011, Malcolm ended his ten year term as the ICEJ's top Executive Director but has continued to serve the ministry as International Spokesman and as a member of its International Board of Trustees.

Malcolm and his wife Cheryl now live in Murfreesboro Tennessee, where he also serves as an Associate Minister of World Outreach Church.

They have three children and five grandchildren.
